Rewind Wednesday *Lindsay's Baby Shower*

Happy Wednesday everyone! I'm about a month late at posting my friend Lindsay's baby shower that I co-hosted with the wonderful Jill Frieburg! It was such a great day and the shower was a  big success. So much love at the shower for the mommy to be and baby girl Carolina :) I have to admit that party planning is one of my favorite things to do! I just love coming up with a theme, decor, food, games, and more. The shower took place on February 22nd at Jill's home. Here are all the pictures I took to capture the wonderful event...
First to-do on the list was finding the perfect invitation! I love Tinyprints designs and their pricing was very reasonable. Since Lindsay was doing the baby's room in the colors of gray and yellow, we decided to base the shower colors off that and add a little pop of pink :) I also love the new trend of bringing a book instead of a card. It is a great way to build the child's library and with the price of a card nowadays, it's about the same as a new childrens book! Found the book poem on Pinterest. The invites turned out so cute.. will definitely order from Tinyprints again in the future!
Hostesses and the mommy to be :)
*Decorations & more*
We found most of decorations from Hobby Lobby like the puffs and ribbon. Jill made the fabulous chevron banners. Display of shower favors by front door with pink Bath & Body Sweet Pea hand sanitizer and pink nail polish for guests. "Think Pink" printables on my Pinterest as well!
Adorable belly cake from Cakes By Lori in Champaign, IL. Seriously, how cute is this cake?! It tasted as good as it looked too. Drinks for the shower- Sangria Punch & Lemonade. Delicious!
Recipe for Sangria Punch
2 Bottles of Moscato
1 Pink Lemonade Concentrate
3 Cups of Sprite
Fresh berries- Raspberries, Strawberries, Blackberries, & blueberries
ENJOY :)
*Activities and Games*
Since baby Coleman is a girl, we had to have a hair bow station!!! So fun for the guests to make a special unique bow for baby Carolina. She will have plenty of bows to choose from to accessorize with any outfit. I found the hair bow kit on Etsy for only $44.50 & that makes 42 head bows and 5 clips! Another activity we had the guests do was create Carolina's First ABC Book. I printed off letter color pages and had the guests color it and write a little note at the bottom. Lastly, while Lindsay opened gifts, we played Baby Shower Bingo. Fill in the blanks with the gifts you think the mom to be will open and if you get 5 in a row, call out bingo and win a prize! I printed these chevron boards from this Etsy shop. Needless to say, Pinterest & Etsy are AMAZING for any party :)

 *Gift Time*

So happy to be apart of Lindsay & baby Carolina's day! I loved planning with Jill and enjoyed every minute of the shower. We "showered" them with lots of love and can't wait for her to be here in 5 weeks :)

XOXO,

Goodbye Illinois, Hello Indiana!

Sorry I have been MIA once again.. March has been a crazy busy month with moving to a new state & all! So thankful for moving companies {made our life so much easier}. They packed us all up & unloaded everything where you want it. Now we are just in the process of organizing everything and getting all settled in our new home in Lafayette, Indiana. We have been here a total of  5 days and it is already beginning to feel like home :) We are in a great location, close to stores & restaurants. We have been out exploring all these new places, which is so fun! I have a good feeling that we are really going to love it here :)
Our new home!!!
First lunch spot, so good!
1st night in Lafayette!
Waiting for our table at Scotty's Brewhouse (new fav restaurant)
